“Because of my upbringing I was in trauma therapy from 2005. I developed an eating disorder when I was a sophomore in college. Yoga was the first thing that drew me to healing. In order to really cleanse our traumas from our system there has to be a rewiring of our bodies physiology so we know we’e safe. We’re all just walking reflections of each other. We see something in someone else that is very frustrating and instead of going, ‘I’m a little curious about why I’m so frustrated’ we say ‘that person is wrong’. We’re constantly seeking out ways to disconnect from what’s uncomfortable and therefore we end up disconnected from other people but really we’re just disconnecting from ourselves.”
