“You mind if I take your picture for my blog?”
“Sure, I’ve got a photography blog too. http://yellowcircles.tumblr.com/ This is such an amazing city to photograph. I want to move here.”
“Where are you from?”
“I’m originally from India but I go to Penn State now.”
“Do they have a good photography program?”
“No, that place is not for me, it’s fratty, I want to go to an art school.”
“So why’d you pick there to go to school?”
“I’m originally from India and wanted to go to school for photography in the UK, but my dad is very conservative and wouldn’t send me there. You know the Brits used to rule over the Indians and all…so the compromise was that I would go to school in America.”
“Does your dad support your art?”
“He doesn’t get it. He wanted me to be in the military, and I’m like the least violent person you’’ll ever meet! He’s seen some of my pictures and he’ll be like, "Yeah, those are good but get back to your studies. I think he still wants me to have a ‘normal’ job when I graduate.”
“So what are you gonna do when you graduate?”
“I don’t know, deal with it then I guess.”
