“What’s one of the biggest changes?”

“Well I tell you one thing, you know all these google people? They pick them up in them buses and take em to Silicon Valley?”

“Yep.”

“They ain’t nothin but computer slaves. It used to be black people. They would pick them up and take them to Napa Valley to pick grapes. This neighborhood and Hayes Valley used to be 90% black. Now look at it. Same thing though. Now they just got different type of slaves. Yeah them people make money, but they sit in front of a computer all day. Then they drop dead at 50 because that shit ain’t healthy. Me, I’m here doing my work. I don’t need computers that much. If you don’t know I’m here I really don’t care. The people that do know know they can depend on me.”
