“What’s your purpose?”
“To help people. There are so many people in third world countries hungry and women who have been sold into the sex trade industry. I also want to inspire people through health and vegan cooking.”
“And how are you going to do those things?”
“Well, I’m in school for nutrition and I’m really excited about the future. Lately I’ve been in survival mode lately because I just got out of a marriage that wasn’t working but now I’m moving forward again. It was good because I had to find myself again and I realized I don’t need validation from anyone else. I’m able to love myself and other people because Jesus loves me. That’s where I get my strength from.”
“Jesus was a cool dude for sure. Have you ever studied any other traditions?”
“Not really.”
“Do you think you’d be a Christian if you grew up in Tibet?”
“Hmm, probably not. One time I realized that I believe the things I believe because that’s what my parents taught me. And that threw me off for a bit but now I feel good about it. I’m not trying to tell anyone else about their life, I just know what’s right for me. For me it’s about love. Loving people for who they are, and where they are on their journey.”
