I was walking thru the Western Addition with my magic glasses and this guy said, “Hey! What kind of glasses is those?”

So I took them off and handed them to him. He put them on and said, “What you supposed to see?”

“Keep looking.”

“Oh! Look at that. I seen a star on his head.”

“Pretty cool huh?”

“Yep, where you from?”

“I live here, I’m originally from Atlanta but I’ve been here about 6 years.”

“Oh so you still new, haven’t gotten broken in yet.”

“How long you been here?”

“I been here since 1980. Ain’t no place like it. I’m originally from North Carolina though. So you just be up and down here?”

“Pretty much, I walk around and take pictures all over the city.”

“Don’t go out too far…like Hunter’s Point.”

“I’ve been out there, people were cool.”

“I know, I’m just kidding, they cool out there.”

“You mind if I take your picture?”

“Where it’s gonna go?”
