“What are you into these days?”
“I’ve been taking a Calligraphy class. I’ve always been interested in nice lettering. I always paid attention to people with nice handwriting, I like nice fonts.”
“Writing…and especially cursive seems like a lost art form.”
“It is! It’s getting taken out classrooms.”
“It’s important to think in curves and not just in lines and 90 degree angles.”
“Totally. Something happens with your thinking process when you take what’s in your head and write it down. It’s cathartic and helps you put thoughts together.”
“Have you always wanted to make art?”
“I’ve always had it in me. When I graduated high school my art teacher tried to get me to go straight into art school. I thought I should go into academia, so I went through the process of it and it wasn’t really that fulfilling. I always wished I had put more time into art, so that’s what I’m doing now.”
