“What are you passionate about?”
“I’m an actor. I do a lot of stage stuff. Been happy to do a lot of site specific avant-garde theater. We’ll do productions outside in the environment the show takes place in.”
“I’ve never heard of anything like that. That sounds really cool!”
“Yeah, we just did this production called Terminus, it’s based on Watership Down. It took place during the civil war, there was a small group of soldiers deserting the army in anticipation of Sherman’s march. They were trying to find their way back home through the forest, so we did the play in a forest, and people followed the actors as they went along the trail and marched. And night is falling too so people were walking by lantern light.”
“That’s really unique. Did you have to get special permits to do that?”
“Oh yeah, Atlanta can be not conducive to make things like they happen but they got it done.”
“That’s awesome, personally I think culture drives everything so I hope they allow more stuff like that.”
“Atlanta’s cultural voice is getting stronger and stronger everyday, not a lot people know how cool it is…but we’re coming.”
