“You look like a man with much wisdom.”
“Oh yeah? I’ve had a lot of experiences. I’ll be 66 years old this year. I’ve got 4 children, 8 grandchildren. I do sweat lodges, I’m doing one tonight. Have you ever been to a sweat lodge?”
“No. What does it do?”
“It’s like a sauna outside. We do rituals to cleanse and emerge as a group. We recognize each other as spiritual beings having these temporary human experiences. We describe some of the programs that we’ve downloaded and are operating from that are now obsolete. It’s like having old software on your hard drive that’s slowing your computer down. You should come.”
“I’d like that. How long do you stay in the heat?”
“It’s all up to you, it’s the changes in those extreme temperatures that force your body to make changes and purify itself. It’s an amazing process watching people transform.”
“Are you a shaman?”
“Is that something you would call yourself? I’m a real simple person who’s connected to the Source. I recognize that there’s one intelligence that lives in everything. The same intelligence that the mosquito operates in, you operate in. Each of us are like waves in the ocean of infinite intelligence. Can you separate a wave from the ocean?”
“I guess not.”
“So much of life is about conditioning, when a baby is born it’s going to eat the food mom eats. It’s going to speak the language the mom speaks cause we take on ways of the people we most closely associate with. In this country we’ve been conditioned to drive on the right side of the road, and when the light is red we’ve been conditioned to stop. It took some time to get that in. A person who’s never driven wouldn’t know you’re supposed to drive on the right side of the road. But those cars…they operate just as well on the left side. Same thing with these programs we have, we can change them.”
“I believe it.”
“When you attain knowledge you recognize there’s one intelligence…not a bunch of them. Just one. The difference between you and the mosquito, and you and me is only perception. We’re all perceiving our own reality during these temporary human experiences. There’s been so many changes in the few years I’ve been here in this particular incarnation.”
