“Do you have any experience with synchronicity?”
“Yeah, I was at a street party in Chicago one summer and I saw this one woman bending over in the crowd of people so I thought there might be something wrong. I went over to her and she stood up and whipped her beautiful long blond hair back and smiled at me. I asked her ‘Are you okay?’ and she said, ‘Yeah, I was just bending down to write my number down for some girl over there, but I’d much rather give it to you.’ She had this little 3×5 card she had written her name on with squiggly lines all around it. So we end up hanging out, having a great night, and go our separate ways. The next day I’m walking around the city and I text her to see if she wants to meet up again. She texts me back saying ‘Yes!’ and that she’s at an intersection with such and such cross streets. Turns out I was at the same intersection! She was standing across the street from me! We would have connected without technology…and we’ve been together ever since.”
