“The village I grew up in in Spain is very magical. There were only about 110 people there. I started leaving to go to school when I was 13 and I left Spain altogether when I was 20 because I was in love. I met a young man who convinced me to come to America and visit him. I came to the east coast we got into an old beat up Buick and drove across country.”
“Sounds romantic.”
“It was, we landed in San Francisco. One day lead to another, one week to another, and life just kind of happened here. It’s been a beautiful journey. I love this city. Many amazing people, very inspiring, and very international at the same time. It’s small enough to feel at home. Big enough to wake up every morning and believe that anything is possible. I believe it’s because of the whole infusion of the east and west. So much culture and San Francisco is that center point. And then there’s this whole fearless way of going after ideas that I find fascinating. The people here have fearless minds, and it’s all about people.”
