“Along with your tours you help organize a lot of conscious community building things, like this festival, or permaculture action days, what part of that is your individual calling and what part is inspired by being together?”
Him – “I feel like the independent stuff we do has been inspired by the love that’s in this relationship. The things that motivate me and my music are super simple. It’s looking at this planet and being completely in awe and in love with it. Recognizing it as what I am, what I come from, an extension of my being. When I walk around I think, ‘I’m walking on myself’. When I witness people hurting themselves by hurting the environment I realize I don’t want to be a part of that. We’ve all been trained to do that by driving cars, or flying in planes, or burning fossil fuels to stay warm. My process is moving away from that. For instance, I don’t drive my car in my hometown, I ride my bike. I’m trying to travel a lot less, we try to heat ourselves with wood instead of propane. The music if fueled by that. I hope people feel the messages that are encoded in the music that stem from my love of this planet.”

Her – “I grew up out in the country and was home schooled until high school, my learning was through nature. It’s been really built in to me to be in awe of this planet. When we met we both had these pieces of us where there was a lot moving forward and growing and we ignited each other and became even more committed to making a light footprint and living in harmony. The music is a vehicle for that. It’s been a constant weaving. Every conversation activates something and evolves us more. Our individual passion for doing good and being of service to this planet, and to the people of this planet, but ultimately to this planet and all of it’s inhabitants, is growing and growing. We’re really lucky.”
