“What’s going on in our neighborhoods is crazy. Have you heard about all these fires that have been destroying people’s homes? These prospectors come immediately after to try and buy up the property before the bodies are even in the ground. I made these bulls eyes to represent the people who are being targeted to be pushed out of the city. The thing about these times is those who are targeted are also invisible. The senior citizens who live on a fixed income, the queer artist…I make the targets as colorful as possible because I want to be seen. I want our community to be seen. You’re targeting us, but looks at us too.”
