“I have a lot of dreams, a ton of dreams, infinite dreams.The one that comes when you axe me that. I want to have a touring musical production that’s similar to Fela, but it would be called ‘I Get Out’. I want it to be about the experience of Africans in America, like myself, here in DC and Oakland. I think we struggle to figure out who we are being a place that’s not our own. I want the production to not just be on Broadway but in our communities too.”
